In the early 1980’s, the company began researching better ways to maintain food at a high quality. The result was the development of Controlled Vapor Technology, or CVap®. This patented technology uses a combination of air heat and vapor heat to maintain food at optimum condition. CVap Technology quickly expanded the company’s product line. To better reflect this expansion, the company’s name was changed to Winston Industries in 1984.
Taking foodservice technology to the limit, Winston introduced the CVap® Cook and Hold Oven in 2000. It automatically holds at precise USDA recommended temperatures and times, assuring optimum serving temperatures. Another revolutionary feature is the microprocessor control. It is truly simple to use - simply select doneness temperature, browning level and cook time. There's also a selectable fast cook feature that uses predetermined heat curves for maximum cooking speed.
